"Catching Up"

Finally!!!!!!!

Do to family illness this is my first post since  October 2011.

So glad to be back!!!

It looks like I might be catching up and getting a bit of my  painting

back on track.

I try hard to do "first things first"

It's exciting starting a new painting so it's really difficult

to stick to the "first things first"  philosophy.

Remember the beautiful tiny little girl I started painting a while back?  Elana.

She and her three brothers, Christian Carson and Price
would have been finished already but it took at least three months

to finish the Christmas Mural.  Not complaining mind you.  And other things.

The six 2" x 2" canvases are soon to be finished paintings I'm doing for a donation.

and the photo of the beautiful young women is my latest commission.

I'm so excited to be back painting again.

Enjoy!  and watch  do for my

next post.

A do it yourself web site is not so do it yourself.

That's what I've been working on for days.

I'd rather be painting. But that's how it goes.

However, tomorrow is my art club day and I'm starting my
"Practice painting portraits"
project.

Just one little thing. . . You all have to send me your best photo of yourself or your favorite person place or thing. I only have received two so far. Absolutely no obligation to buy.

Please send your photo soon to "penelopepab@aol.com"

I'll be waiting.

Thank you.

"Dedicated to Hailey and Brandi"

I have been paying particular attention to the fact that I have not blogged as frequently since my daughter and her two little girls have become residents in my home.
Since my two granddaughters warm and loving hearts have consumed a great deal of my time and emotions lately I thought that it would be very appropriate to dedicate this blog to them.

The Big Yacht by Peni Baker

This is one from my Vero Beach Yacht Club Series.

I love how this painting is coming together.
Sometimes I put the signature in the painting before I am finished. And I am almost finished.
I'll post it again the moment it is completed.
