"Miss V"

I sure did enjoy doing this little 5" x 5" acrylic painting of Vickie.
I know that she is going to enjoy it as well.
Vickie is one of my high school classmates
that I met at my 45th high school reunion last August.
I thought that she was so cute in appearance and personality that
I just had to paint her.
I sent the painting out yesterday and can't wait for her to see it.

These beautiful little Painted Bunting is indigenous to my central east coast Florida area.
They actually are about 2 1/4" long from beak to end of tail.

"Art by the Sea"

Art by the Sea is a Vero Beach Art Club event held in the Vero Beach Museum of Art's.
This is a prestigious, judged show which is highly attended and exhibits
the work of over 200 artists who are members of
either the Vero Beach Art Club or the Vero Beach Museum of Art.
I am so please to have taken part in this very exciting event.
It was definitely the right choice for me.
I now do not regret one white water droplet in my painting.
It said in the paper today that there were 5,000 people there Friday Night.
I know I had a great time.
And thank you for all my rooting section.
I'm so excited!!!!

Today was the very first day of the opening of the Sebastian River Art Center.
I was the lucky one that got to sit the center.
It was a very blissful day. Kind of like what a day in heaven might be like.
So tranquil, peaceful, quiet and so rewarding.
I spent the day working on a new sign for the art center
spiffing and visiting with a few wonderful
people who stopped by to visit the new center.
I was also able to paint a little more on "N's Boys" That was very
rewarding as I am almost finished with it.

Busy Taking Care of Life

It's a busy time for me with family and other things.
I was just dreaming about having more time to have completed
paintings for my blog when I ran across one little painting that was
not included on the right hand side of my blog
where I keep a copy of everything that is completed.

I am currently looking for another boat photo opportunity in the Indian River Area to add to my Vero Beach Yacht Club series.
