It's coming along.

It is a beautiful yacht in my Vero Beach, Florida Yacht Club series.
There are quite a few yachts similar to this one here and there along the Indian River Lagoon right here in my Indian River County. Hope to be finished with it in another couple of sittings. Can't wait. Enjoy

"Victorian Lady"
The Victorian Lady is an old house in Sebastian, Florida. About 100 years old and redecorated and refurbished and used for wedding and special events.
On this day it is being used by my Sebastian River Art Club for a day of plain air painting This was my favorite scene and has turned out to be one of my favorite paintings

Tiny Pieces by Peni Baker

This is a post about tiny little parts of some of my large paintings.
The first one is a motorcycle from a painting I did called "Blue Shanty" This painting was done from a photo I took in the Dominican Republic while visiting my son. This part of the painting was the most detail and took me the longest time to paint and I believe is probably the most rewarding part of the painting. However, that would be hard to prove. If you look at the entire painting I'm sure you will see what I mean.

The second picture is from my painting "Bougainvillea" Just a tiny little area down by my signature, obviously, but probably my favorite part of the painting.

Third is the face of Ramon. Again, from the "Blue Shanty"

Fourth is a piece of my "Periwinkles" The bloom of the Vinca plant which grows ingeniously here in central and south Florida.

And last but not least is the kitty cat in "Elephant Ears and Kitty".

Beautiful Mexican Dancer Sold

I loved doing this painting!

It sold last night, May 5th 2010, at the Artist Guild Gallery in Vero Beach, Florida.
I'm so proud it was purchased by a fellow artist who is known
for purchasing very exquisite paintings.

There was a Cinco de Mayo Art show gallery celebration.

It was wonderful.

I am so glad to be a part of my new art world.

With each and everyone of my paintings, I use intense amounts of details.
